Subscription Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 22 May 2026  |  Subscription Block 2 (SUBS2)

These Subscription Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase of a Heavy Metal Magazine subscription block from Heavy Metal International LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By completing your purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Subscription Tiers & Benefits

Heavy Metal Magazine Subscription Block 2 (SUBS2) is offered in four tiers. All subscriptions are structured as a 6-issue block - a one-time purchase covering six individual issues delivered one every two months. This is not an annual subscription and will not renew automatically unless you choose to purchase a subsequent block.

Digital Tier - $49.99

• Digital access to all 6 issues in the block
• Available globally

Softcover Tier - $99.00

• Softcover magazine - 6 issues
• Digital access to all 6 issues
• Available in the United States and Canada only. A postage surcharge applies for Canadian orders and will be displayed and added at checkout. Heavy Metal does not collect Canadian GST/HST. As a US-based business shipping from California, any applicable Canadian GST/HST is assessed by the Canada Border Services Agency at the point of importation and is the responsibility of the recipient.

Hardcover Tier - $199.00

• Hardcover collector’s edition magazine - 6 issues
• Digital access to all 6 issues
• Available in the United States and Canada only. A postage surcharge applies for Canadian orders and will be displayed and added at checkout. Heavy Metal does not collect Canadian GST/HST. As a US-based business shipping from California, any applicable Canadian GST/HST is assessed by the Canada Border Services Agency at the point of importation and is the responsibility of the recipient.

Signature Subscription - $399.00

• Not less than 20 softcover copies across the 6-issue block - comprising Cover A per issue plus a minimum of 14 additional softcover variants across the block, including Cover B, NSFW, SFW, Comicon exclusive, event exclusives, and any other softcover variants produced
• Digital access to all 6 issues
• Simon Bisley exclusive variant cover - exclusive to Signature subscribers and never available through any other channel. The first 500 Signature subscribers receive this cover signed by the artist. Subscribers beyond 500 receive it unsigned.
• Heavy Metal jigsaw puzzle. Shipping timing to be confirmed.
• Premium packaging and tracked delivery on every dispatch
• Available in the United States and Canada only. A postage surcharge applies for Canadian orders and will be displayed and added at checkout. Heavy Metal does not collect Canadian GST/HST. As a US-based business shipping from California, any applicable Canadian GST/HST is assessed by the Canada Border Services Agency at the point of importation and is the responsibility of the recipient.

• The Angry Mob $20 loyalty discount does not apply to this tier

Hardcover + Signature Bundle - $578.00

• Hardcover collector’s edition magazine - 6 issues
• Not less than 20 softcover variant copies across the block - Cover A per issue plus a minimum of 14 additional softcover variants
• Digital access to all 6 issues - one digital subscription included
• Simon Bisley exclusive variant cover - counts toward the first 500 signed cover allocation
• Heavy Metal jigsaw puzzle. Shipping timing to be confirmed.
• Premium packaging and tracked delivery on every dispatch
• Dispatched together as one delivery per issue
• Saving of $20 versus purchasing Hardcover and Signature tiers separately
• Available in the United States and Canada only. Canadian postage surcharge of $150 USD applies at checkout (covering all 6 deliveries). Heavy Metal does not collect Canadian GST/HST - any applicable tax is assessed by the Canada Border Services Agency at importation and is the responsibility of the recipient.
• Payment options available for US subscribers - subject to eligibility
• The Angry Mob $20 loyalty discount is applicable to this tier for eligible members, reducing the price to $558

We reserve the right to update subscription tier benefits from time to time. Any material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email prior to taking effect.

2. Billing & Payment

All subscriptions are charged as a single one-time payment at the price shown at checkout at the time of purchase. This is a block purchase - not a recurring or automatically renewing subscription.

Payment options are available on the Softcover, Hardcover, and Signature tiers, subject to eligibility and approval by the payment provider. Heavy Metal is not the lender and is not responsible for eligibility decisions.

Prices are in US dollars. Applicable sales tax will be calculated and added at checkout based on your delivery address. Heavy Metal uses TaxJar to calculate and collect applicable US state sales tax. Heavy Metal does not collect Canadian GST/HST. As a US-based business shipping from California, any applicable Canadian GST/HST is assessed by the Canada Border Services Agency at the point of importation into Canada and is the responsibility of the recipient.

3. Shipping & Delivery

Physical subscriptions (Softcover, Hardcover, and Signature) are currently available to residents of the United States and Canada only. Digital subscriptions are available globally.

Shipping is included in the subscription price for all US orders. Canadian orders attract a postage surcharge which will be clearly displayed at checkout before payment is completed. Heavy Metal does not collect Canadian GST/HST. Any applicable Canadian GST/HST is assessed by the Canada Border Services Agency at the point of importation and is the responsibility of the recipient.

Physical subscriptions are fulfilled by a commercial third-party logistics provider. Issues are targeted for delivery one every two months across the 6-issue block. We will notify subscribers by email when each issue is dispatched. Delivery times vary by destination and are not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services or circumstances outside our control. Risk of loss passes to the subscriber upon dispatch.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Standard Tiers - Digital, Softcover, and Hardcover

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided no issue from your subscription block has been dispatched. To request a refund within this period, contact us at subscriptions@heavymetal.com.

Once your subscription has commenced - defined as the date on which your first issue is dispatched - all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or credits for issued or remaining issues once fulfilment has begun. We reserve the right to review refund requests on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.

Signature Subscription

The same cancellation and refund terms apply to the Signature Subscription as to all other tiers. You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase provided no issue has been dispatched. Once your first issue has been dispatched, all sales are final.

Please note: if you cancel within the 14-day window and receive a refund, your Simon Bisley signed cover allocation (where applicable) is forfeited and returned to the available pool. Heavy Metal does not guarantee that a signed allocation will remain available should you wish to re-subscribe. Any refund requests made after the 14-day window has elapsed are at the sole discretion of Heavy Metal International LLC and do not automatically entitle the subscriber to retain or recover a signed cover allocation.

5. Angry Mob Loyalty Discount

A $20 loyalty discount (the “Mob 20 Discount”) is available exclusively to Angry Mob members who held an active subscription under the previous Heavy Metal subscription block. Eligibility is determined by Heavy Metal at our sole discretion based on subscription records.

The Mob 20 Discount is subject to the following conditions:

• Single use only - each code may be redeemed once and only once
• Non-transferable - the code is issued to the eligible member personally and may not be shared, sold, or gifted
• Valid on the Softcover, Hardcover, and Hardcover + Signature Bundle tiers only. Not valid on the Signature Subscription tier.
• Must be redeemed before the expiry of your current active subscription - defined as the date of dispatch of the last issue under your previous subscription block. Codes not redeemed by this date are permanently void and cannot be reissued or extended.

The Mob 20 Discount cannot be combined with any other promotional offer unless explicitly stated by Heavy Metal.

6. Subscription Stacking - Existing Subscribers

If you purchase a Subscription Block 2 (SUBS2) subscription while you still have issues remaining under a current active subscription, your new subscription will be added on to the end of your existing block. You will not lose any remaining issues and you will not receive duplicate copies.

For example: if you have 2 issues remaining under your current subscription and you purchase SUBS2, your total confirmed issues will be 8 - your 2 remaining issues followed by all 6 SUBS2 issues, delivered sequentially with no gap and no overlap.

Your SUBS2 subscription will commence from the issue following the final dispatch under your current block. We will confirm your complete issue schedule in your personalised subscription confirmation email.

7. Changes to Subscription Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and subscription tier benefits at any time. Any material updates will be communicated to active subscribers by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of your subscription following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content included in Heavy Metal Magazine - including but not limited to artwork, illustrations, text, covers, and variant covers - is the intellectual property of Heavy Metal International LLC or its licensed contributors. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-commercial licence to access and enjoy the content. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written permission.

The Simon Bisley exclusive variant cover is produced under licence. All rights in that artwork are retained by Simon Bisley and/or Heavy Metal International LLC as applicable.

9. Data Protection & Privacy

We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it in accordance with all applicable privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and similar regulations.

By subscribing, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of your personal data for subscription management, order fulfilment, and relevant communications. We will not sell your personal information. We share it only with carefully selected third-party service providers necessary to deliver your subscription, including our fulfilment partner, email marketing platform, and tax compliance service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Heavy Metal International LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your subscription or use of our products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your subscription shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for your current subscription block.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of California.
